Now What? .Dirty Bird Special

When opening the program (which I haven't done in about six weeks) I get the offer for an "early bird special" ... The problem is we cannot make the pop up go away and if it does disappear the program is locked up. We can't use it. OK, coach, now what? Tried reboot etc. nothing works to get rid of the pop up AND allow us to work on the report.

Open or start a new report. Then it should go awa y after you click it.

It doesn't. We've tried that. I rebooted and it would go away but the program was locked up.

We were able to work on the laptop - cannot get the old XP machine to do a work around.

To compound the issue, the pop up continues to reload every few minutes as you change a page....the program has "lost" Winsketch again, and it is selected in the preferences. when I go to try and compress a graphic, it shoots me all the way down to the last page and then won't compress anything. I give up.

Are you using the free version or the paid version? I've never seen an add.

It happens on the laptop... Win 7.

No this pop up is telling me I can buy the renewal at a discount.... I have a few days to make a decision. So far we've "lost" the connection to Winsketch. Cannot load the maps etc. And that pesky pop up continues....but if I cannot make it connect to Winsketch and mapping again, I probably will either switch to something else or drop form software altogether.

I'v more than made up the money spent on more expensive yet far MORE FUNCTIONAL software with the savings from time not wasted with this and other issues. My reports are solid, no hidden UAD violations in the xml, smooth delivery. Wow. Why did I monkey around for so long trying to save a buck? This software cost me much more in time, "rejected reports" and client confidence. Like JD, his software? not so much.

Agree. I'm not going to fight this stuff anymore. There are soooo many issues with adding addenda and bad copy/paste issues I'm done. WCA or Alamode. Know both and will be looking to make a move in the next week or so. It cost more in frustration and time, especially on a Saturday afternoon.
