Official UCDP XML Validation Tool Required, Part 3

If you did not have access to the UCDP, your company would fail. I've already offered you an opportunity to prove me wrong on this point, but you refuse. You've proven my point again.

I don't have access to UCDP, and I have no problems complying with the PUBLISHED documentation. So there's your proof that it is not only not necessary, but your assertions are false that we have special treatment. The only advantage of having UCDP access would be to be able to offer file transmission for lenders as a value added service. Yet I manage to have UCDP compliant reports with nothing but the specifications you say are "insufficient."

I have a friend that is using FormTools Gold and is able to send reports that are getting through UCDP using the same exact documentation. He also has no access to UCDP or testing and, in fact, has never even called Fannie, Freddie, or Veros...just read the damn documentation and exports the data using VB macros to create the XML file, uses a web site to encode his PDF, then puts in the PDF into the XML file manually and STILL gets his reports passing UCDP!

You wanted PROOF, you have it. Hell, the people at Veros (UCDP) won't even talk to me.

And, by far, among all the developers (real ones, not Excel spreadsheet builders) writing appraisal software, I know for certain I am not the sharpest pencil in the box. Jeff Bradford, for example, is an exceptionally talented programmer (though in my opinion an lousy business person and afraid of competition). The people at a la mode seem to do some pretty amazing things, just the planning of which would take me years. Me, I'm just a guy who knows how to put pieces of code together to make something useful, but I am no great programmer. So if I can do it using nothing but the PUBLISHED specifications and a clarification on an issue or two (there are a couple of typos that don't match the XSD), then anyone with half a brain can do it.

Again, you wanted proof you are wrong, you've got it. No access to UCDP whatsoever, and yet I'm not failing and, in fact, thriving!

I'm amazed someone can post claims, then deny those claims a few posts later.

I would repost a certain person's earlier claims, but a certain person tends to go psycho when that happens. I'll leave it to the reader to read the earlier posts and confirm the facts.

The GSE UCDP XML test and validation is a critical issue for the entire Appraisal User Community and must be addressed. The only people against this are the privileged people who already have access and don't want the remaining Appraisal User Community Members to have the same benefit.
