Don said, It is a non profit educational institution.

The AI update course I took said, "The Appraisal Foundation is a private entity and its boards have no legal authority in any jurisdiction."

I think they really meant 'Appraisers' Forum', no?????

Don's statement and your citation from the AI update are compatible. The Appraisal Foundation can be described as both without conflict. :new_smile-l:

Never mind its boards but how about its words which are written as USPAP?

Appraisal Foundation:

LOOK at the people and companies they work for, and the companies listed as 'advisory council' members!!!!!!! IMO, I don't really see anybody there that actually could be said to be 'appraiser friendly'! In fact, too many of them have been and are working hard to ruin the integrity of the appraisal business and build their own businesses by stealing from you.

There is NO WAY you should ever want these same people that were involved in either actively ruining or looking the other way while it was happening the real estate markets these past years to run anything involved with it going forward!!!!!

Pam, that statement really shows you lack of understanding of TAF..., its role and how it works...

On the contrary-Pam does know how TAF really works. Run/controlled by lenders and users of appraisal reports backed by a few complicit appraisers who have happily done their bidding in destroying the appraisal process.
