I was offered 165.00 for a full URAR from an AMC! What is next 100.00, 50.00, 25.00!! Maybe I break even for my gas & over head.

I think we may have to unionize to keep our fees from being cut down to nothing.

If the H.V.C.C. is not revised they will low ball us until our services are worthless!

Let me know what you think!

Might be a good idea...............but, watch for them to outsource to India if that happens.

And they most likely found someone to taken it at that FEE...

They are already trying to do that....seems all they want is quick box checking....

In the market we are facing, someone will accept that price and they know it. That's why AMC's do what they do. Tell them to shove it and move on. Don't let it mess with you, let it motivate you.

Think about it, if you were an AMC wouldn't you look for someone to take that fee? Adds to the bottom line. The banks and lenders that hire these AMC's think that the AMC is looking out for them. That is not the case at all. The AMC is feeding their client full of BS and making as much $$$ as they can.

Every time an AMC gets someone to take a $10 cut they are paying for the hour of labor that it costs for the phone monkey.

Exactly. It is survival of the fittest, always. All this confusion and complaining towards AMC pricing leads me to believe that many appraisers are just so ignorant of the truth.

I do very little residential.....the last one was for an attorney, in April. No one will call me twice after business hours. I like residential sometimes, but I will not deal with idiots.
