On The Rejection List?

But I have only been back in the field since May, so this came as a shock to me. I am smart enough to know I don't suck and neither do my appraisals. If they bought a loan from another lender, it would have to have defaulted and been foreclosed upon since May, so I don't think that is the case here. However, it is good to know that information about Chase, so thanks for posting that--I may need some "ammo" as I go deeper. I don't have any complaints filed against me that I am aware of, so putting me on a rejection list is odd.

Their customer service put me on a line with the voicemail to an appraisal leader in the southern states, so I hope he will return my call within 24 hours. If not, step 2.

Do you have a common last name. It could just be a mistaken identity. You really need to contact chase.

were you in the field from 2000-2008?

You and Tim bring up very good points and I did mull all of that over in my head. I have a call into them and we'll see where that goes. Yes, I have a very common first and last name. There is more than one appraiser with my name. I'm taking this one step at a time and hope to get it resolved without lawyers, etc.

I appreciate all the responses--some very good ideas and advice.

Best of luck to you getting this all straightened out, I am sure that it is very frustrating.

I was in the field from 1990-1995 and then from 2002--2004 and went into management and review after that. The banks I worked for either portfolio'd their loans or they were passed on to the next successor when they merged or went out of business. I didn't do that many field appraisals between 2000-2008 that would not have ended up in a portfolio that could have been sold and ended up at Chase. Makes me wonder, though.

Why don't you ask them? I was once put on a 'do not use' list and it outraged a local mortgage broker, she looked into it, it turned out it was by a bad review from a competitor, and she told them what a AH the guy was, and viola, I was back on the regular list.
