online copy of USPAP

I love how I found this on the second page of the USPAP manual.

"No parts of this publication may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system,
or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical,
photocopy, recording or otherwise, without the prior written consent of the
publisher."

Didn't put much thought into allowing others to download my paid legal copy of the pdf as being illegal file sharing. I thought it was only the modern day pirates which did that, and I don't own a ship or even an eye patch.

I am a licensed trainee appraiser. Originally in 2008 when I signed up to the forum, no I was not an appraiser.

As licensed and certified appraisers we fund the Appraisal Foundation through our license fees. Charging us for copies of USPAP is double dipping.

Yep, but it is what it is. Used to get a copy as a member of the AI until they were chastised and made to sit in the corner.
 
My point is that if we as appraisers tell someone that the reason is USPAP compliance, they should be able to easily go online and read it for themselves.

Why didn't you pick up a copy when you took the update course. Here is the on-line link for your clients.
