Wah! Now I get to keep my money! Don't sweat it, no group of appraisers will ever agree on one thing ever. You can't please all of the people all of the time. For that matter, you can't please some of the people any time. :)

Pamela,

I am surprised that you decided on a place so far from Jacksonville. Are you going to fly down?
There is a place in Kansas called the "Meades Ranch" (I believe).
The meeting should be held there. Why? Because that point has been determined to be the Center of the U.S. And it is actually the point of origin for the NAD 27 datum.

Don't be scared, Terry. A few years ago they built a whole bunch of big bridges that go over that river, so you won't have to swim across anymore.

Dee Dee Dee,
I know! I saw the movie. I like Jeff Bridges, but Beau doesn't do much for me. Which one is older? Will they be at the meeting? I might cross bridges if I do and I should be more polite.

Tery (apologies for the previous mis-spell),
You can be a real stinker sometimes, but at least you have your priorities straight when it comes to Bridges  :) . I think that Jeff is the older one, and definately better. I suppose we could work on getting them to attend the meeting if that is what will convince you to come, but...sheesh...isn't the contemplation of great company, palm trees and drinks with little umbrellas good enough for you?
Loooooove can build a Briiiiiiiiiiiidge...............oh, never mind.
Only my 2-year-old nephew is allowed to call me Dee Dee Dee, so if you do it again you'll have to clear it with him first. Trust me, he doesn't like anyone treading on what he determines is HIS turf. 8O

You know I can not recall the last time someone refered to me as a "stinker". In fact, you may be the first.
I don't use the Emoticons, so I suppose it is hard to tell if I am being a total smartass or just a regular smartass.
Hey? That's a good idea, Emoticons from the backside. We could call them Butticons.
What do think? Let's get Pamela on it!
No, I don't do sarcasm. It is either total nonsense or the truth as I know it.
And if it ever appears that my message is not clear as to which Butticon I should display, I will get my butt in gear and clarify.

Ahhhh...but it is so appropriate for you! I can spot a stinker from miles away, and you're definately one of 'em 8O  . I've often admired your stealth at slipping little bombs into a thread, then sitting back to see who would flinch, who would choke, who would run and who would point a finger!

Whatever the case, it is a means of causing others to assess their position and respond quickly, frequently with highly entertaining knee-jerk reactions. Ever notice that flamage against certain types of stinkers will often cause an explosion?

Greg can be a stinker too, but he has a much more angelic way of presenting the package.

Stinkers work hard to hone their style and skills, but the basic personality pattern is quite similar. Vehement denial is absolutely mandatory if a stinker is to be successful. Some have an knack for being able to appear innocent, while others choose to intelligently expound on the quality and substance of their contribution. A personal observation....those who can shift and juggle methods at appropriate times often find themselves on a fast track into the field of politics.

Don't be offended, Tery. Some of the best discussions I've seen in this forum have been originated by stinkers. You would never have survived here for this long if you were as serious as you contend you are.

Butticons, eh? Hmmmm.....not a bad idea. If one could develop and sell a package of redi-made butticons to chat forums I think a fortune could be made. Can I get a portion of the royalties for helping to lead you to this idea? Kind of like a contributor to intellectual property?
