Has anyone used both data services? Which is better?

Can you perform comparable sale searches with Parcel Quest?

Get the demo.

I would suggest you sign up for their demo and give it a try. Since they are strictly in CA I know nothing of them.

NDC is good but expensive Similar to Realquest expensive too

Not sure if Parcel Quest has comp search function. And most of the data they provide seems to be from assessor's database which is already freely available in most counties' assessor websites. Also their database is updated only once a month for most counties. Personally i wouldn't find enough use for the data they provide to pay for it.

Parcel-Quest vs NDC-Data

This is my first posting to this website. If you see it I must have done something right.

I've used both services. I started using PQ when I opened my own shop a few years back. Now I use NDC and "customer service" when NDC doesn't have data. Who knows why NDC doesn't always have data? Sometimes it just doesn't have up to date info. That may be because I'm in the hinterland. Bigger counties seem to have more robust databases.

History searches on Parcel Quest was really bad. I changed to NDC when a more robust history reporting became mandatory. Also, NDC has a flood map service that works most of the time.

Lastly, comparable data search was NOT available on Parcel Quest when I subscribed to the internet version. At that time it was only available on the CD version. But the CD version was WAY too much.

I found that NDC, although more expensive than PQ was way less than other 'National Brands" affiliated with Title Insurance Cos.

Thanks guys!!

I have only used NDC, but I am always looking for a less expensive alternative.

NDC has always been pretty good though.

I use ParcelQuest exclusively for physical characteristics. 80 bucks a month for all counties in CA.

I use NDC for closing data.

Some of the counties I work in have little or no physical characteristics in NDC, SiteXdata, or DataQuick (I use all 3) but ParcelQuest usually will.

The number of trips to the assessor's office has dropped by 75%.

Footnote: The lot sizes on ParcelQuest are usually wrong. I don't know why...

Parcel Quest is free to me via the local MLS...I also use Data Quick for cross referencing and property history. NDC looks a little pricey...

Looking for updated opinions of which you think is the best data search source, NDCdata, Parcelquest or ??
