Given the everyday pressures and volatility of our business, appraisal as a Plan-A can be pretty shaky at times. What's your Plan-B? What else are you doing aside from appraisal work to make extra money? Are you even looking to make extra money?

I saw your post in the Jobs Available section yesterday where of course no one can reply. It sounded like the opening gambit of a multi-level marketing pitch. So are you just casting about among peers or leading up to selling soap or magic juice or something? I wouldn't think to ask but for that other thread by you.

Hi Renee, I'm glad you saw the other post, as did a number of forum members who have PM'd me. I am involved in a business that might be of interest to some folks in the forum who may be looking to make some additional income. Yes, it is a network marketing company (not sure what's wrong with that) and no I'm not hawking soap or magic juice. Let me put it out there to you again, what would you do with another $1,000 per month?

You have to love the MLM pitches. They try hard to sell you on the possibilities of making money, but never on the product or service. Maybe that is because the product isn't great, or the product doesn't matter as long as you can trick friends and relatives into joining your scheme.

So I'll tell you what I would do with an extra $1,000/month...not much. It would probably go towards savings or my gambling/vacation fund. It doesn't matter though. I'm not going to try to sell my friends on some mythical product or service that they don't want or need. I'm certainly not going to ask open ended questions to try and convince them that I have the golden goose.

Just had a flashback of when my neighbor tried to sell me an mlm for electricity deregulation. She called it ignite and wanted to practice her pitch with me. When in fact I was the mark for the pitch. It was so akward. I told her she was better then this and could spot the buzzwords a mile away.
