There is no violation associated with MLS data sharing thru Planet Realtor. Each MLS market that participates has agreed to be part of the statewide service available thru Planet Realtor in Florida.
My local MLS service has decided to participate on a regional level outside of the statewide Planet Realtor site. Once available, participating boards will cover most of Collier, Lee, Charlotte and Sarasota counties.
Karl,
My local MLS service withdrew from the statewide data sharing in October 2005. I believe the listing history for the specific MLS # was available within the individual MLS data sheet you can review on-line and/or print for your work file. You would have to perform an address search to see if any other active, pending, closed, expired or terminated listings exist(ed).
I agree with Janet. I only used Planet Realtor to confirm if any additional listing data was applicable for properties not listed in my primary ML service. I work one market where dual membership is the norm, however, there are a limited number of realtor offices that do not have dual MLS membership. Data for that market is currently available in a regional MLS Alliance agreement.
