Based on the information from the OP I would say you technically can appraise it however I wouldn't personally do it. One of the other appraisers in my office would do the appraisal for me. :laugh: j/k

Hey now, New Yawk! Why shoot the wife if the mother-in-law is irritating? In Ohio we don't muddle the issue, go straight to the source.:rof:

Yes you can shoot your wife, yes you can do the appraisal.

"Should" you do either of the above-mention actions is a new different question altogether and may have a different answer than the answer to the OP.

Yes, I agree with the statement you wrote, but it says the certification must be similar in contain. It does not require the "exact" verbiege you quoted.

Based on your presentation of the Standard Rule it would lead one to believe one could not do the appraisal for the property located adjacent to your property. You could and most probably would have a personal interest in the property adjacent to you as it most probably would and could have an impact on the value of your property.

Well along those lines you couldn't appraise a property in your neighborhood similar to your house either.
