Pole Barn House Costs

I'm working on an appraisal for a pole barn house and I'd like to complete the cost approach, but I'm having difficulty finding this information in Marshall & Swift as it isn't a typical residence.

It's in there, but you may need to use the Segregated Cost or Unit in Place sections of M & S.

We have financed a number of "barndominiums". Don't see any functional/external related to it being a barn/shp and house, but it does experiece the same influence as more conventional construction with regard to design, size, location, etc.
Haven't seen much cost difference comparing conventional to a barndo, when comparing similar quality. They run the scale from framed up room in barn to hang out on the weekend to similar home quality of upper end estate type homes. For the most part they are most popular in weekend and retirement destinations.
If you google "barndominium" you will see many examples.

IF my house were to burn, I would not rebuild a conventional dwelling. I would build an apartment inside a barn. I would never sell this farm anyway except to pay medical bills and if I am going to be financially ruined, what do I care if it brings anything?
