Prices going up

You never blame Trump or hold him accountable so you are not credible wrt that

He should not have promised to fix it on day one but I never took him literally on the promise. People would be patient if he took a while to resolve inflation, but it looks like his policies and reckless actions are actually going to make things worse economically.
Could be, might be, looks like, so nothing but biased opinion

I'll blame him when I see him doing something wrong. Until then, I am patient to wait till his policies filter through the economy, irrespective of your agitation over imaginery boogymen.

Anyone who took Economic class would know tariffs are not the answer. You should call it out since it's wrong.

I don't have a hard science marketing degree from San Jose State, Fernando, but I do stay at the Alila. You get an F for failure to comprehend, hence, you will now and forever be known as Fallimento's illegitimate step child, Fallimento Junior, ESQ.

I believe I can safely say I took more science classes in high school than Fern took in his lifetime

Don't knock Fallimento Junior ESQ; his two hard science degrees and MBA make him a formidable ****. He may not realize he lives in a one-story rental, but that's for him and his hapless roofer handyman to figure out. I stand in awe of his prowess.

Don't know what you are talking about but if it makes you feel Trumplike, feel sorry for you.

NOT JUST EGGS, BUT I GOT UNLEADED GAS TODAY AT $4.759/GALLON.
So what? Crude oil is range bound between about $67 and $75... it's $72 a bbl. The requirement for refiners to store large quantities of gasoline means several of the refiners are closing and will refine CA fuel somewhere else. You'd better expect higher and higher prices under the Leftist administration you are so in love with in California.

Crude prices overseas jumped when it appeared Hamas was going to back out of the ceasefire. They relented and prices are still in that range above.

Meanwhile bitter cold means a lot of pressure on propane prices and natural gas prices in the East. And trucking gets a lot worse in bad weather adding to cost and demand for gasoline.

As for eggs, nothing is going to change that dynamic because millions of hens have been slaughtered...mostly incinerated or buried, not processed. And supply and demand will set the price. No one is going to set prices by edict. But it will pass. Pullets begin laying eggs about 18 weeks old. By the time the eggs are hatched and restocked in the houses, egg production will increase this summer and prices will fall. My neighbors are scrambling to get their houses up and running for an operation after the previous integrator Cook's Venture went bankrupt. Vital Farms will be buying these eggs and so we had a dip locally when Cooks Venture had to close and send all the hens to slaughter back about one year ago. But overall there is not a damn thing anyone can do about bird flu. It travels with migratory birds - especially ducks which are more carrier than casualty from it. I used to get letters from a local poultry company to NOT go duck hunting back in the 1970s when i was in college and raising chickens in the summer to pay for college. Bird flu has been an issue for decades. The problem is that there was no issue of it possibly being transferred across a species then. But the virus has morphed. In SE Asia little kids were getting it and dying. Seems that there the children are the ones who pluck the birds after they are scalded and the adults were not getting it. Now the disease has progressed to be a real problem in milk cattle, and it can cross the species barrier into humans - hopefully, we can stop it from doing so.

I mean I don't know how many eggs you eat but most people are not going to be eating 12 a day. Big deal - you have $1.20 in breakfast when you used to only have 60 cents. And don't think anything about going to a cafe and plunking down $15 for an omelet and coffee. Speaking of which...nothing is more expensive than coffee. Go figure. Cheap coffee (like most restaurants use) is about $10 /lb and makes 20 cups easy. $2.50 a cup is $50, $40 profit. I've drank a lot of coffee for 15 cents and some for a dime...and a pound of coffee was a buck then. You are not paying for the coffee. You are paying for the service. Same with tea.
