Proctor exam?

Everybody wants to know what type of McKissock courses require an exam proctor.
I took basic appraisal principle course which is 30hours. It says I need to take an exam with a proctor to get a course certification. There are some other mandatory courses that I need to take and those courses require proctor exam as well.

Thanks for letting us know. Sounds like you on the fast track. Long, weary, frustrating, mentally- & physically-challenging career ahead. Don't give up.

Yes, it is all those things. But it has also been very financially rewarding for me so it can be worth it.

I'd like to meet the person who invented proctored exams. I've taken two in my career. One time a co-corker in the next cubicle did it for me (later I bought her a candy bar for her efforts), the other time a library did it. Both times were irrelevant hogwash.
It's just a way for CE providers to demonstrate to the state regulatory agencies that no one is cheating. I'd MUCH rather have that method of oversight for irrelevant testing, than to have to go to a testing center...

than to have to go to a testing center...
Oklahoma used to administer their licensing tests at Sylvan Learning Centers. Not a bad way to go as it kept people from the 4 corners having to drive 100-300 miles to take a test. In Boise City, OK you are closer to Denver than to Oklahoma City. When I tested first time in AR we had the test at Fayetteville on the U of A campus. But for the CG I had to drive 225 miles to Little Rock to take the test. I spent 3 days in a nearby burg taking a prep class and then the test. 4 nights in a motel, the prep, the drive, and the test cost me a chunk of change.

Like I said, prolly a proctologist... :)

I think all the classes toward your cert or lic are proctored but not CE. Like I mentioned, call any library. They do them all the time.

This sucks, I had to wait several months until one reopened. I called around and found one that was 15 minutes away. The next closest was an hour and a half. I read that you can also go to a Police station.
