Program similar to Courthouse Retrieval System in the New England area?

This is my first time posting so I hope I'm doing this right!

My commercial appraisal company is based in the southeast but does work on occasion all over the country. Right now we have a job for some land in New England. I'm struggling to find a decent program to search for prior sales comps. We use CRS now and I was under the impression it was only for my region - am I wrong here in that it can be used in other areas, or are there other programs good for searching for northeastern comps?

Some local realtor associations have agreements with smaller companies and do not syndicate to the large services. Some Realtor Associations require Realtor membership at NAR to join the MLS, cannot join some as only an appraiser credential.

I run into this in some areas and I have been licensed in many states; I have a Realtor membership so I can join MLS's. However, sometimes you can engage with a local appraiser or agent/broker to work together on data collection. That is what attorneys do if you are hired to work in an area that you do not have membership in the courts; hire local counsel and sit second chair.

If you already accepted the project; It seems like you didn't do your homework scoping the project and determining data availability/access? What is the case and how did this come about?

I am not the appraiser, I am a tech specialist for my company, and was tasked with researching options for data collection in order to accept the assignment. This is the homework haha, not sure what made you think otherwise. Prior to posting this I already reached out to local appraisers and have had some luck there. For the post purpose, I was trying to see if there was a CRS equivalent in New England (hence the title). I just really enjoy that program and think they have a very nice search tool. Looking like there isn't one.
 
Russ nailed it. Being a Realtor opens doors to most market data.

Just like any other professional, you need the tools to do the job, and if that means you need to buy the proper tool (MLS access for the area), you include that in your price.

A couple thousand bucks on top of a five figure fee to gain data access is peanuts to a CG.
