Webbed Feet- the more I got to thinking about what you said, the more I agreed- so I wrote the mortgage processor and said, " That's fine that you did a review and all, but I want to know WHY this house was left off in the first place."

However- I have no idea if they have any sort of obligation to share this info with me, but figured it was worth a shot. Made me feel better at the very least.

Thank you to everyone that wrote today- I've appreciated everyone's input.

I don't think GMAC wants to (or can) do your deal because of their own problems. You have made your arguments with them, and they have fallen on deaf ears. The horse is dead. Stop beating it and move on.

The home sale definately happened- I saw the recorder's book page. I had to speak to the recorder to find out the home's sale price. Also, I now have new neighbors :) As for the MLS site listing being removed before the sale happening-- this is commonplace here. This is a pretty small town (less than 10,000) and I don't think they have that many sales fall thru. Regardless, I know they remove pending home sales a few days before the home closes, because they did the same thing when I bought my house.

Have you condsidered borrowing a reduced amount based on the current appraisal and paying the small balance in cash?
