It's only a USPAP issue to the extent that it is part of the agreed upon SOW as the F/F forms state that the effective date is also the date of inspection. If you sign the certification you are attesting to this.Under the new changes in USPAP, I think you would be and are, correct. I think it is a stupid change in USPAP but it is what it is. I really hadn't thought about that aspect of it.
As a website noted, "In simple terms, one unique client assignment = one distinct inspection and analysis."
The USPAP change you noted clarifies that prior personal inspections are not to be misrepresented as being a contemporaneous personal inspection in a future assignment.
