A realtor and I once set off the alarm, we decided to just wait for the Sheriff Deputy to arrive and showed our ID's.

My process for purchases:

Double check address, time and date at the door. Double check pet, alarm and other realtor info at the door.

Ring doorbell and knock.

Do not make entry.

If there is a car in the driveway, call agent.

Do the exterior first.

Knock and ring door bell.

Enter home and yell appraiser for today's appointment.

The guy did 95% right.

My first month on my own taught me this. Walked into a house....guy was getting out of the shower....forgot the appointment. Was in the shower when I knocked.
