Real Estate Sales License

Its not too bad being dually licensed. Just have to know the differences between the two licenses. Most people around here really don't know the difference (its not that hard)? <_< It really helps if your investing! There are just too many more agressive realtors that make a living from sales.

The difference between being a realtor and an appraiser:

As an appraiser you kick the dog biting your leg.
As a realtor you pet the dog biting your leg.

.....and your smiling either way! :rainfro:

Being a Real Estate Agent is no different than being a Real Estate Appraiser...

...we're all individuals & all different.

Hacks abound in all industries but, that's because, they lack imagination, an honest spirit, and there's currently a lack or unwillingness of enforcement.

People can smell dishonesty & visa-versa. Call it a sixth sense, or what you will but, there's a lot of money to be made in real estate if people trust you.

Sales may not be for everybody but, consider many of us are already salespeople...we're selling our ourselves, our services...our appraisal business.

It's no different in Real Estate--except the earning potential is FAR GREATER w/investing & imagination being the ultimate prize.

I see so much potential on the Forum...so many bright, intelligent people who're right around the corner from bigger paydays & don't even know it.

Turn the corner,

-Mike

I had my sales license many, many years ago - ex-wife let it go when I went back to the U during a slow time. Didn't know for over a year and I could have just hung it at the commission or a friends shop for a long time. Now I'm thinking of getting it to just have it for myself to save on the commission when I buy for myself. The place I bought after my divorce I had a good friend who waived his commission because of friendship, equipment and other factors. In less than one year I've already made over $20k. So, it can work. If you do it right. I wouldn't want to get back into that game again. I like to sit down with my Golden at the end of the day and have a beer or glass of wine. I like my end of day when I want it and I also like the idea of being able to say NO for the weekend.
