Yeah?, Wow, I looked at some homes when I was there , I liked certain parts of Goodyear, love Surprise (Marley Park), Verrado is also nice just further away, off to itself. One appraiser was telling me that the West Valley will probably being more business than the SE Phoenix, Mainly due to fact that most appraisers are comfortable in the Metro Area of Phoenix and don't prefer to commute to the West Valley.

That's funny. The "metro area of Phoenix" includes the West Valley, East Valley, Central, etc. There are just as many appraisers that solely work the West Valley as the East Valley. The Phoenix metro area is roughly 1 1/2 hours drive time from Far West Valley to Far East Valley without traffic and just a bit less from the N Side to the S Side. Most of us stay on our sides of town just because its a time killer to drive. The SE Valley people will try to tell you to try the West valley and vice versa just to keep people away. There's an oversupply of appraisers here to start with just like most metro areas. I live in Surprise and it works well for me but there is not that much work and thankfully I don't need to work too hard anymore. If you think you will come here and be busy you are wrong. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting at least one appraiser and several realtors wherever you are. It just depends what part of town you want to live in and what your price range is.

Thanks I'll be there soon.

Are the summers really unbearable , or it takes a while to adjust?

Summers? Lol. Its usually above 90 from March through October, yes October., with it being over 100 from June-August and then high 90s through Sept. I have been here 15 years and have learned to cherish and enjoy the few cloudy days we have and when it does rain (rarely) its like a Holiday where everyone checks it out and makes a big deal out of it. The best way to describe it is I tell people I don't mind extreme heat but I do mind it being hot 7+ months a year. We have gotten off easy so far this year but usually its brutal by now.

I can survive with 2-
Thanks I'll be there soon.
I like Surprise especially (Marley Park ) reminds me of Cali a bit. Thinking about buying there. I can survive on 3 orders per week, in AZ, I'll just have to sign up to like 1million AMC's.

4.3 million people live in maricopa county so it can't be too bad. and you can schedule your outdoor work for cooler parts of the day. and you never half to measure in the snow. and you rarely have to measure in the rain. and you don't have to mess with daylight savings time. but it might take a while to get used to it :)

Yeah, thanks I feel ,I can make it appraising in Maricopa county, it's about being consistent, and stay marketing , networking for more business. You get out of it , what you put in, of course a ton of orders is not going to fall out the sky, it requires work.

Do you know a good source to get floor plans for the different sub divisions within Maricopa County?
