I am an appraiser in MA, and am trying to get a license in Texas. Can I get reciprocity in NH and then from my NH license get it in TX? does anyone know how this works?

Moved to general appraisal discussion. Ask an appraiser is a moderated area for the general public to ask appraisal related questions.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if they allowed you to do that.

Welcome. Each state has their own reciprocity guidelines and requirements (and some have NO reciprocity with certain states). Good Luck.

I've got it!:

Get licensed in New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland. Virginia, north Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana and then you can do drive-by 2055's on the way down to inspect the subject in Texas.

(And they said us old guys weren't smart....ha!)

I spoke with someone in TX about a year ago, you have to submit your experience and education, and they will evaluate it and give you a certification if it is deemed equal. No test was required. This may have changed, so give them a call.
