Strange here also. Last week highs low 70's, 50s night. This week highs in upper 90's.

Strange weather but still....just weather. It all averages out, usually reverts to the mean.

Predicting snow in the NW... Europe is having a very cool late summer. But again, no one saying the climate is changing to cooler. hypocrites.

This year we didn't really had a heat wave which was odd until this week.
Suddenly weather is so hot. Most homes here don't have air conditioning and it's very uncomfortable.
Yest coastal areas like where Bert lives have best weather and good time at beaches.
My daughter was at Stinson beach for day than in college. WTF.

Prediction are that west will be hot and the NE will be unseasonably cold. And in the middle we have a drought

Light colors are dry below normal dark ones are extreme drought, and white means no drought

I like dry below normal. Less rain, less damage to my properties. Too much water causes lots of problems.

It was a very "average" meteorological summer in my neck of the woods. One tenth of a degree warmer than average for Moline and .06" less precip. than average. Has turned bone dry though, only about 2/3 of an inch of rain since around the 20th of August.
