Reducing pic size?

Acrobat 7 has a menu option on File > reduce file size. I use it some but am set up to reduce files i create automatically. If I print to Acrobat from Word Perfect it generally reduces the file size to a managable size - 4MB or so.

Search for Microsoft Power Toys - There is a add-on called "Image Resizer". You can right click on all of the photos, when downloaded into a file, and customise your reset size. This is a fantastic tool.

I take high resolution photos for my files so I can get the detail and re-size in the report without losing the resolution in the report.

Example, a photo of 603 KB can be moved to 49K without much loss.

There is a free program called photoscape, among several neat little things it can do, is batch resizing. You can drag a folder of huge pics in it, and tell it to make them all, say 720x480 and it resizes them all in one fast swoop.

Thanks Bill--it Is Better Than Picsizer.

Lloyd,

This image resizer is about the same and was for the benefit of some that may be using something other than Clickforms.

Thanks, everyone. I neglected to mention that I'm working in Word on a Mac. I don't see any image toolbar anywhere. The pdf optimizer in Acrobat worked like a charm though.
In Word on a Mac you would right-click on the picture and select "Format Picture" (or select the picture and chose Picture form the Format menu) to get the tools for editing a picture.

Optimizing with Acrobat is the best method because it is much simpler. I would also recommend paying a few bucks (less than $5 a month) for your own email hosting account with no limit on message size.
