Reliance on AI reduces ability to think

It's true, I think. Humans are basically lazy. If they can do something the easy way, that's what they will do. It's also true that there will always be some who prefer to put in the effort themselves. Those people will be harder to find and, if they are good at what they do, they will command premium fees. Much the same way that a luthier built guitar will beat a factory guitar and also costs a lot more.
 
It appears to me that the AI returns on queries are mostly derivative of the most popular perspectives. It's like a beauty contest or a poll. If you want a brief summary of what other people think or what previous studies have already concluded then the AI summation is just another step further than googling for yourself.

Let ChatGPT do the search engine survey for you. That's not to say the app can't do more than that, but the SuperGoogleSearch/Summary seems to be a real common usage.
