Repeating continuing ed courses

My question is whether it is valid to re take courses to meet continuing ed hour requirements.

I have seen seasoned generals in the 5 day Principal class just to get CE. They get comfy in the back, throw on a snuggie and collect 35 hours.

I was attending the New Jersey AI meetings a few years ago and they always had education credits. You could get enough for the cycle by attending the meetings. I stopped going when they moved the meetings from 11AM to 8AM - rush hour traffic meant I had to be out by 5:30AM and the commuter traffic was still tough in New Brunswick. :-(
