Q. for anyone here using this software: Any problems with the import data feature (I've tried with a csv file created from a CoStar export, but my system does not recognize the RB 2.0 database). Tech support states its a Windows issue and will not assist, the validity of their position in this regard is suspect.

Hello. I purchased ReportBuilder 2.0 a few months ago and I'm still in the process of dialing in my templates. I see a huge potential with the software, but it does have its faults. I have been using the import feature from Costar and it's one of the better features. You do need to create a custom import file that instructs the software on where to map each of the csv cells into the report builder database.

The customization and robustness of this program are its strengths and weaknesses in my opinion. The software seems to be a memory hog and can be very tempermental. It's not unusual for me to have to reboot my machine whenever I do use it. In the end, I think the automation that the software provides is worth it. It should be noted that I access my sever via a VPN connection and don't have the server and client applications running on the same machine. The performance may be much better if you have both running on the same machine. I've yet to test this out. Hope this was helpful.
