Revision request from Lender. -remove/replace the term "walking distance".

and nearly every MLS, zillow, blah blah rates neighborhoods in LA with a "walk score" with that said, never felt the need to put and never did, 'walking distance' Such a nebulous term..."walking distance" to whom ? Technically I can walk 80 miles to my dad's house in Redlands but i don't. I often gave an actual real metric of range in how far transit is, shopping, major work centers, etc etc.

a good example of walking distance is TAF, fannie, and revaa... :ROFLMAO:

Also on this date, a sharply divided Supreme Court ruled, in Texas v. Johnson, that burning the American flag as a form of political protest was protected by the First Amendment.

WTF do these people think hey are?

I actually received a letter from FNMA chastising me for calling a retirement community a retirement community. This was in the town of Ocean Shores, WA (ocean front town). Historically the only jobs there have been in the service industry, so it doesn't attract full time working folks because there is no industry and no career jobs to speak of. This has changed some since Covid and the potential of working from home. It has been a community of 2nd homes and retirees since its inception in the 1960's (yes it was a planned community developed by Pat Boone). I explained this history as changing somewhat and stating that historically it is and has been a retirement community. It is also a fact that the median age is 65 years old. Even an AI search revealed "a significant number of retirees" but could not come up with the number of people working full time. Not sure what other wording I could have used that would explain that most of the population does not actively work full time anymore. FNMA did not tell me what other "words" to use, only that I cannot use the word "retirement".

Why even bring up 'retirement' community. Now you know why. Only generic terms, not specific age, race or gender terms. How about slow moving community, no no no. That describes a possible disability. Hate has no home here community. That woke ok.

FNMA isn't a person.

AI Overview

In law, "person" generally refers to an individual human being (a natural person) or a legal entity (artificial or juridical person) that is recognized by law as having certain rights and responsibilities. This includes corporations, partnerships, and other entities, which can be treated as having the same legal standing as individuals in many contexts.
