I think there is middle ground between taking away ones livelyhood and slapping one on the wrist?
Being slapped on the wrist for saying that you were at the inspection, and supervised the insepction when in fact you were not seems a little soft?

The very next thing in USPAP is ethics.
When someone knowingly signs a certification that they know is untrue...they need to be revoked. This is not an error, mistake or slip-up. They are unethical, untrustworthy, dishonest and stupid.
Revoke these crooks on a consistent and regular basis and you will see some appraisers take notice and have a change of behavior.
