And some wish to fuel the rioters (and others) via Universal Basic Income.:mad2:

Don't worry about a pandemic - It will not kill you but the new angry mobs will -Watch New York City- Los Angeles California and major Cities - Its not going to be Covid -19 that kills you : LMAO
Well... I guess we shall see big guy. Be safe!

Did you omit or just ignore this context?

"Donald Trump on Saturday belittled some of the protesters who’ve taken to the streets in cities across the United States, and raised the prospect of deploying violence against the American people for the second time in two days.
Trump on Saturday drew fierce condemnation from the mayor of Washington DC, Muriel Bowser, for using the language of violent segregationists during the civil rights era.

Late on Friday, as protesters gathered in front of the White House, Trump had tweeted that protesters could have been attacked with “vicious dogs and ominous weapons” wielded by the US Secret Service. He also attacked the mayor for supposedly not providing police to protect the White House.

“They let the ‘protesters’ scream and rant as much as they wanted, but whenever someone got too frisky or out of line, they would quickly come down on them, hard – didn’t know what hit them,” Trump said.

Without evidence, the president claimed the protesters were “professionally” organized.

“If they had [breached the fence],” he said, “they would have been greeted with the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons, I have ever seen. That’s when people would have been really badly hurt, at least.”

Bowser, a Democrat, said that she stood with peaceful protesters while Trump “hides behind his fence”.

“To make a reference to vicious dogs is no subtle reminder to African Americans of segregationists who let dogs out on women, children and innocent people in the south,” Bowser said.

She added: “There are no vicious dogs & ominous weapons. There is just a scared man. Afraid/alone.”
Lets face it nothing more fun than being a looter in a riot, ever notice you dont see any of the Mayors out with teh protestors - Yeah we support them from behind fences , when is the black community going to realize their majors are never going to do anything for them, CNN had a professional organizer on last night and he made no bones about looting , he even said a stolen TV or a burned down building can be rebuilt but a life cant be brought back . That's true but how does screwing some other person life help ? Anyway on top of the Covid-19 lock down now we just added another few million square feet of vacant commercial space, and small business destroyed for good.

But the old saying "hit them where it hurts the most...in the pocketbook", "it's the economy stupid", and other similar phrases, has endured because they're true....
And not let's not forget about Machiavelli....
"...because men more quickly forget the death of their father than the loss of their patrimony..."....

I believe we can all agree that looting is not the way to go....
Everyone loses....
But as someone once said....
"What the hell do you have to lose!!!"....v

So back to the OP...my buddy (an appraiser) lives in Bloomington.
He said he has a HELOC inspection scheduled for this week in one of the rioting neighborhoods (I forget which one but S Minneapolis)
He said he hopes the house is still there/standing by the time he gets there (he didn't say which day he has it scheduled for)

Maybe he should call the HO before going there ? Ring-Ring- O good you are still there I am on my way : ) LOL

I have an appraisal report in Kingsfield, it's on hold right now....
I have to add: businesses burned down were largely POC business, the were multi-generational immigrant businesses, family owned buildings. This is not directed at landlords in Mpls, it was directed at what was first available for destruction. Will this trigger a flight to the suburbs like the 1960's?

My biggest issue: will you be going in to these areas/surrounding communities? When? Mostly, what does an appraiser say in an appraisal report? I'm worried about anti-discrimination laws and the like.

Big time!

Not just suburbs but beyond. The work from home Covid rules demonstrated that many companies will be downsizing their foot print. My daughter works at Allstate HQ and the question is how much of the 1,000,000 square feet will be eliminated.

Her husband is an IT guy for a major 401K firm, goes in to work 2-3 times per quarter.

My son was flying to SF every Monday and returning on Friday, he's been working from home this entire Covid time and their efficiency has increased while eliminating roughly $2,500 per week to have him on site.

These type of employees will RUN, not walk from the cities.
