Anyone know anything about tests for RIGHT OF WAY agent (ROW)?

Seeing as how I am going broke as an appraiser I thought I would try to get on with CALTRANS as a ROW agent. I am scheduled to take a test in a few weeks. Any advice on how or what to study for test? Any basic manually or primer?

Thankee!

Try this Book: California Easements: Rights of Way and Other Encumbrances Author: Walter G. Robillard, Leonard Rifkind Publisher: 2006 Price: $89.00 Details: 112 Type: Books Product Code: MAN009843 Add to Cart Description: Easement agreements are necessary for temporary trespass onto another’s land, waterway or airspace. Although rights of way are the most common, you may need to draft an easement for utilities, encroachment or telephonic communications. You need to know the critical legal issues and practical considerations involved to best represent your client, whether assessing the impact of the easement on property use or finding the most strategic way of obtaining access. The “Idaho Easements: Rights of Way and Other Encumbrances” manual offers up-to-date information on: creation of easements; kinds and purpose; locating and defining; elements; descriptions; solar; hostile; reversion; termination; and quasi-easements.

Check out the International Right of Way Assoc. (IRWA) site. If you join, there's a R/W book you can download for free, otherwise you'll have to purchase it. Lots of good info on that site.

You might study up on partial acquisitions and easements. Also, you state's DOT website might have an online manual for appraisers. Same goes for the Federal Yellow Book:
