Fernando is the tail wagging the dog thread. As a phych minor, there are some on this blog who have real hidden issues, for whatever mental needs in their ego.
Well, you have to have some mental issues to be an appraiser. The whole point is to be opinionated. Some of us just take it over the top.

One of the first things you learn as an appraiser is to commit to the bit. Pay attention to what you're doing, but once you come to a conclusion you gots to defend it because otherwise everyone is going to walk over you.

Imo, some here ask weird or belligerent questions to get attention or are driven by a mental reason. Whereas others seem confused or ask out of intellectual curiosity.

The appraisal-driven questions that represent teachable moments and answers focusing on methodology seem to comprise fewer and fewer of the posts. That is typical of the disease of communication online, where algorithms favor lies over truth and exaggerated, attention-seeking behavior gets the most followers. The facts and evidence are often more mundane. Scary implications for the future.

I have never felt the need to visit a therapist. Just so I could correct them for their programmed analysis? I would need to see their monthly health analysis data and their diagnosis support data prepared by some third party that are not therapists, but saw an opportunity to make some dough.

Actually, if you don't look for the humor in this profession and on this forum, you might become mental.
I can laugh at it, but the repetitive nature where some keep flooding threads with inane posts becomes irritating. Plus embarrassing wrt members of the public reading -
