Scale won't budge!

Whether or not you agree with her "politics" all women who have had a baby should strive to look like Sarah Palin. I'm sitting here watching her on Fox News make a speach. That woman has had 5 babies, has a mid 40 metabolism, and has an infant baby, and still has an awesome hot figure. This is what a mother is supposed to look like.

Personally I think she's a little chunky. At least, by California standards.

I did enjoy her on Saturday Night Live last weekend. I don't agree with her on all issues but she has a good sense of humor. :)

Your body is constantly trying to reach a state of stasis. It takes your body about 6 weeks to adjust to any new workout, diet, etc...and you plateau. A simple adjustment--say reversing the order of your exercises, ADDING a hundred or two calories to your diet, then scaling back after about a week, introducing a weight bearing exercise--will all "shock" your body back into a transitional mode, as opposed to a static one. Think about it, if all you had to do was the same exercise over and over again and you would keep losing weight---postal delivery workers would look anorexic.

Just shake it up. I know everyone thinks there is some magic workout or diet, but the truth is you just need to keep your body guessing. Sometimes, taking 3 weeks off can actually help you lose weight. Once you start back that is....

I'm down 20 lbs since the beginning of August. I try to eat 4-5 times a day, I definitely eat breakfast...which I used to skip most days. I have also started the 2 finger diet. I place both index fingers on the edge of the dining room table and push myself away from the table.

Ann,

I appreciate your affirmation of my advice, I was just wondering why you posted a disapproval. Unless the comment that accompanied it was purely sarcastic.

I was a bit confused. Not sure why you would do that.

Ann is the person who clicked on a post I put in here and gave me a negative hit point, but had a nice, uplifting comment in the comments section.

I think she hit the wrong button and fragged me. So, I was sending Ann, which is the name she left on my reputation comment, a message to let me know what her intent was. It left me confused. Why neg me and then say something nice in the comments?

Made no sense to me, so I wanted to know if I had offended her, or if it was a mistake.

Whoever Ann is can just PM me, I won't betray her confidence if nobody knows who she is.

That is really weird. Why would someone give a negative rep to someone participating in a weight loss thread?

I think it's a mistake and hopefully 'Ann' will fix it. :flowers:

Hmmm...well, I am who my name header is. So, Ann remains unknown :)

That was developed a decade ago by a guy named Bill Phillips. It works. Get the book, follow the plan. He sold the EAS company a few yars ago. But, he has written a new book, I havent read it yet, but the old one really works.

Into my eighth week dropped 15 so far, waist is down couple of notches. Training with lots of reps 3/4 times a week mostly cables and spinning. At the gym by 6ish out by 8ish.

With the holidays just 4 weeks away its time for the dbbl cardio one morning one later even if its just walking the dogs for an hour.

Anyone switched to Soy milk? I like it but have not compared it with skim for protein calories etc.

Also have increased black bean in salads etc.

My grandson unwound my nordic track cable and for th life of me I cannot seem to be able to rewind it so it will work correctly - i have ordered info from website but if u have any knowledge on this - help.
