I might even drive down to participate--but it does need to be a place that is relatively quiet or I won't be able to hear a single word and I hate to wear my hearing aids. But I won't know until a day or two before if I will be able to make it--but it does sound like fun. It is neat to meet other posters of the forum.

Who are you guys?

Come meet us! We're just Forum members who have met by way of Organizational Meeting (NAIFA) or planned Happy Hour interventions, etc. It's always nice to put a face with the talk. If you're within driving distance of this get together, come and meet! Connections with peers can lead to good things. I know from experience; people in this community are always happy to help.

Another suggestion

Hey party animals, I checked out Devil's Martini, it appears to be a noisy nightclub, the kind where it costs $250 for a table. However, there is a very nice bar at the News Cafe in Gainey Ranch. There is a large patio if the weather is nice, and the food's pretty good. And you don't have to show proof of implants to get in.

That sounds like it would work Dave.

A friend also suggested this place: http://www.cafecarumba.com/site/
it's at Indian School & Scottsdale Road, so, easy to find for anyone who knows where the real estate school is. She says the food is awesome too.

I haven't had time to go check it out but she says they have two patios, one small and one large. I was going to call and see if we could reserve the smaller patio.

What does everyone else think?

Wendy, I just looked at the website and this looks like a good place. The food sounds tasty. It would be great if we could reserve the smaller patio. There is a Friday happy hour with tequila specials.

After a week of driving back and forth to Phoenix, classes and meetings - I will be up for anything! No tequila for me, though. I have to follow Wendy home and she's drives like Mario Andretti! Plus I'll have my USPAP test the following day.

The wine list there looks good too LOL.

I called to make a reservation, she put us down for one of the patios but was hesitant to promise us the small patio because I wasn't sure how many people. So if we can attempt to get an approximate head count I will call later in the week and try again. But either way, the reservation is in my name, and we are on the patio. 5pm Friday the 14th.

Come on, UV, a Tucsonan like you should be able to hold your tequila! :new_all_coholic:

So Cafe Carumba it is! Looks like it's one block east of Scottsdale Road on the south side of Indian School. Anyone need directions?

I'll be wearing my Zaio shirt! :D
