The subject property is located in an unincorporated area of interior Mendocino County, 3 to 5 miles southwest of the downtown business district of the City of Willits. There are no distinct neighborhood boundaries in this somewhat remote area of range and forest lands. In general, the "neighborhood" is south of Muir Mill Road, west of Highway 101 and north of Black Bart Drive. Buyers seeking properties like the subject would consider most of the outlying rural areas surrounding the Willits city limits. North of Willits is for the most part sparsely developed rural lands with only the small community of Laytonville, about 25 miles north and the very small communities of Leggett and Piercy north of Laytonville.
