In ACI Rapid Track - under File:Send there is an option to send a status report to the client. Can I use this without subscribing to any third party software? Can I just send a status report to my client using Microsoft outlook? When I try, all I get is a blank email addressed to the client. I was hoping for some info to be filled in? What am I missing?

It's been ages since we've used the ACI Send>Report system to send stuff through ACI with Outlook. And I may be thinking of different software, but FYI I don't recall it ever entering an email address for you.

However, what about putting it in the client database? We use ACI Track. If you click the 2nd tab in the Client Database, "Client Email", I think that's where you configure it.
