Server Load

Lately I have been getting this again. Last year Wayne asked us to let him know!

A few other goofy messages as well. All within the past week.

Searching has been disabled. This is automatic and due to high server load. Please try again later as searching will be enabled when the load goes down.

Thanks, I have not seen this or had any other reports but I will keep an eye on it.

There could be times that it would happen, however it should be a very small amount of time, not like last year.

It is sort of like a throttle to keep the forum from overrevving!

Yes it is user rating. Users can rate other users, good or bad.

Soooo, green is for scores that are positive. What happens when I offend everyone and they vote "disapprove"? Do the dots turn red or something?

This has happened to me a few rare times. Much more often, I perform a query or click on a link on AF and the results never load. I end up with the standard “This Page Can Not Be Displayed”. I always wonder why, as it seems so sporadic. I assume it is a result of overload but I wonder as it seems to happen at odd times sometimes.

This sounds like it may spur a mass migration to therapists for inferiority complex problems.

Sometimes we do server maintenance that makes the load high and the forum not available.

I have also noticed the server loadproblem as well. It lasts for about 5-20 minutes typically. Can't access the forum during that time.

Seems to be happening more and more over the past few weeks.
