What exactly are you asking?

A) That the second floor needs 2 egress points? You can't be asking that.

B) Is the 2nd floor door the only other egress from the entire house and would be unsafe if permanently sealed off? That would be a bit of a functional issue before being a VA, FHA, USDA issue, no?

C) Is there another exit from the 2nd floor? A previous post already asked that ?

Build a deck or stairway outside that door.
Or, tear it down!

I think screwing it shut would work.
Just screw it.

I was making the assumption that the door was in a 2nd floor bedroom. Am I correct?
