That living in California sucks?

He sold his many mansions in Beverly Hills.
He now has a 16,000 sf house for sale in one of highest priced area near SF.
I can't imagine why he bought so many homes in past. How can one person live in so many homes let alone 16,000 sf house.
Imagine the cost of upkeep and security.
Who knows what his ulterior motives are in terms of his housing.
