trump told manufacturers to create their own electricity at their sites. Reason was not cause it's cheaper. No , It's because they would not have to rely on our aging grid. Our aging grid is going to cost a fortune to replace. The other advantage is the industry will make sure and control and insure maintenance is being performed.

Now, know the never trumpers in here will make stupid replies ...so what I still think trumps proposal is solid . Especially if its a new manufacturer can expense all of it in the first year. I think I have that right . It was in the big beautiful bill.

The idea of 'clean power' is a notion whose time has come and gone.

Nuclear is the only electrical source that is relatively clean even though catastrophic failure can happen. But electricity does not solve the mobile power problem and EVs are a poor solution to that. Some form of liquid, high-energy-density power is needed to power personal transportation. Do not suggest "mass transit" for anything. Mass transit does not work in sprawling spaces, and even in urban settings, needs subsidies. And mass transit is unsafe due to crime. Mass transit has always had to be subsidized even in the Civil War era when the transcontinental railroad was built, the government gave every other section of land to the railroads and today entire oil companies are based upon these initial land grants, like Santa Fe Energy and Burlington Resources.

The EV today is merely a commuter vehicle. Little else. It is not for the long haul. It is not for trucking, long vacations, farm equipment, or industrial uses. The best fuel is the most energy dense fuels. The densest is diesel fuel with gasoline and natural gas less so. EVs are a tiny fraction the energy density of diesel or gasoline.
