Tell you the truth Rick, these are the times where assignments like this are good. At the end of the day you will certainly be a better appraiser. Don't look at the down side (there is none). You will learn and hopefully earn at the same time. Good Luck.

AND, be called on to do more of these tough assignments, with steadily higher fees.

Better Appraiser

Kevin & Timothy,

All my years of indentured servitude ( as a trainee) that was all the my buddy Bob and I got......the "interesting ones". The ladies in the office, that had been there a few months longer than us, got all the "in town" subdivisions. Bob kept telling me that it would "make us better Appraisers"! Well, after 10 years I'm still trying to be a better Appraiser.....and I'm still getting the "interesting appraisals"! :Eyecrazy:

And to add insult to injury, I drove back out to this site today, because I thought I remembered a gas well unit on the property.....along with all the other stuff, and sure enough there it was. With nothing referenced on the survey. (Thanks a lot Terrell!! )

The price just went up! m2:

Rick

PS - Fortunately this lender does not pressure me for value.

Rick, after 26 years of doing this, I wallow in the "interesting" appraisals. They suck in busy times, but they are A-OK in these times.

Hot damn, obviously a first for you and you have an expert on the board to help you through it. Just remember to get an address so you know where to send the check or gift certificate to. Good luck Rick.
