In the State of Washington, out of 1,261 brokers and 13,722 originators:

6,139 people have passed the test but only,
5,720 have completed their required license renewals. (there was a mention about failure to take education...)
That means 9,263 people can no longer originate or participate in obtaining loans for people...... they are out of business.
62% of the loan originators in this state can are prohibited from obtaining appraisals or receiving compensation from escrow transactions.

Want to see if your mortgage broker/loan originator is still in business?

Are you sure about who you recommend or do business with?

For a list of x-convicts that have applied for a loan originators license, and
may still be in the business check here: http://www.fraudproblem.com/criminals-as-brokers

Those are the known places for those types of folks to hang out...or at least it was prior to the new licensing. Good Riddance!

Richard Hagar is seeking appraisal orders for Washington State properties from an AZ appraisal firm. If any of you have anything like this, please contact me to find out if it's the AZ firm he's interested in.

Many of these originators have gone to work for 'Banking' operations that are not covered under this loan originator licensing laws. The rest went back to selling shower curtain rings.

I have caught two "LO's" trying to originate within our state with the proper license. Both acted dumb and went away. The complaint section works well for people that don't follow the rules.
