Excerpt: "American companies now farm more than 45,000 acres of land in three Mexican states, employing about 11,000 people, a 2007 survey by the U.S. farm group Western Growers shows.

There were no earlier studies to document how much the acreage has grown. But U.S. direct investment in Mexican agriculture, which includes both American companies moving their operations to Mexico and setting up Mexican partnerships, has swelled sevenfold to $60 million since 2000, Mexico's Economy Department told The Associated Press."

==================

The article mentions that the average field worker in the U.S. gets $9.60/hr while AMC skippys, oops, I mean Mexican farm workers get $4.80/day. I bet a $125.00 1004 fee would look pretty attractive to someone making those wages..........hey.......wait a minute....I AM making those wages!!!?!?!!

Well why not? We pay them "subsidies" to not farm on the dirt here... so they might as well outsource the farming in other countries while collecting $$$$$ to not farm here.

If you like OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) then you are really gonna love OFEC (Organization of Food Exporting Countries)

If the government does not stop taxing all commodities out of existance...everybody is going across the border. The Illegal Alien problem will solve itself and Americans will be sneaking across the border to work.
