Poverty breeds crime and gangs. At this time of year, the crime gets worse with crime and gangs.

CA doesn't have a sales tax on food. Cold food that is. That's why to save tax, I don't ask for my Subway sandwich to be heated.
I have too much food at home.....and clothes... and.....
I knew your State tax rate was different from Tennessee. I try to stay local. How much chance does the bill getting passed before State legislature in TN?

I don't know. It would be good for poverty areas if it gets passed.

I don't have a vote. The thing is that money has to be made up somewhere.

That is what could kill the bill.

If they believe Food is a human right and shouldn't add additional cost for basic human needs then TN should pass the bill.

Think of how many people on poverty are just happy to have food week to week.

I know some heavy democrats locally that will support it but I don't know.

4% on things like groceries is huge if you are poverty level. Locally I think it is around 9.5|% sales tax.

Didn't have to jerk one - it's there pretty much all the time...
I never noticed. :ROFLMAO:

I am slow. I didn't go to kindergarten. I think that is my problem.

Identifying the problem is the first step to recovery my friend.

I am tight though. I spent roughly $47 at Kroger which is cheap for me.

I had coupons and saved $21 on one transactiion.

I probably saved a $100 or more yesterday. I can't find the receipt at the moment between coupons, being Kroger member and digital mail coupons they send me. I had to spend $90 to get $9.00 off.

Long story. It rang up $88. I said give me another pack of gum that was on special like $1.15 plus tax. Then I realized they had buy 2 get three free of 12 packs of major brands that were on bottom of cart.

Bright side is I have extra pack of gum at $1.15.

I also got 5 12 packs of sodas varying flavors for around $20 plus tax.
