Strategies for raising fees

Sometimes I wonder if professionals in other industries are subjected to being treated like cattle, or worse? I received an AMC email last week asking whether I would accept a 1004D related to a 1004 performed by a different appraiser, for $75. Within 3 minutes I responded affirmitively, to test the system. No response. Not even a **. Would a series of somewhat-coordinated regional appraisal meetings to discuss our common plight be considered as collusion, or price-fixing???? Or somebody like Dockworker Terry Malloy to stand up for us like On The Waterfront?
I get those orders and I just ignore them. I don't do a 1004D on a 1004 I didn't performed because client for sure can't afford my fee.

For those struggling to hang on, professionally or financially, I offer this.

Most here know I am about the Benjamins, that means wearing multiple hats to get where I need to be. Around 2004/2005 appraisal was slow for me, my daughter just enrolled in a private university and junior was in travel hockey-big bills, small income LOL. So, I took a job at a big box store stocking the shelves from 5-9AM (after a 10PM hockey game 40 miles away!) A couple of months of this and the hump was overcome.

Fast forward to 2010 ish, my trading made more Benjamins than appraising and with NO clients! Currently have 5 income streams-rentals, SS, dividends, interest and my putzing around job.

Anyone interested in a simple, low risk method of trading SPX options just ask.

This MAGA loving, illegal immigrant hating crusty old guy does have a heart and feel for y'all.

My strategy is opening up a retirement placement service for old senior appraisers who refuse the uad 3.6.

Instead of a place for mom, it will be called a place for old appraisers.

In this retirement home, we will have old forms such as the green hornet for the appraisers to remanence and to remember the good Ole times.

We'll have games such as bid on orders from clear capital.

We'll have story tellers to come in and tell stories on how they have been saying this since 1995....I've been hearing this my entire career.
One day.. everybody does their last appraisal.

Maybe you retire with dignity/planning doing the traditional "profession"

Maybe you die

Maybe you lose your license

Maybe you get transitioned into a data collector
