Herd immunity. First, no one knows if there even is immunity from natural infection (not from a vaccine) nor how long immunity lasts. Your fantasy of herd immunity takes 70% of a population. You know what that would take in terms of suffering, disability, ruin and death? You can take your fat tails off to a calculator and figure it out.

I wear a mask , use latex gloves and hand sanitizer, out of respect for others. But I cannot get into worrying about 200 million people because I have enough problems dealing with 4 or 5 dunderheads, so I just do the best I can, I cannot determine if we opened to early or to late , or frankly if any of it matters anyway. Apparently my using the death rate in my area is upsetting to some, its unscientific, ignorant or just plane, cold blooded. BUT it keeps me focused on the big picture and from wandering into alarming and scaring people who have weak nervous systems or ones that are trying to put forth their personal agenda or bogus science using out dated models and now even the CDC is admitting they were way off.
Terrill has not told any sad stories, all were deaths by things that just happen everyday to normal people. This Covid-19 thing has given some folks a platform to pretend they are so concerned about everyone, and I don't buy into it. If I die tomorrow from Covid-19-there may be a few like 1 that will say wow he had some good threads but in general I will be forgotten as fast as a guy who got a shot of penicillin and it cured his syphilis .
That's fine then lock your self up and don't come out until some bureaucrat tells you its OK. After all does that person have a medical degree ? have they have saved any lives ? When people start throwing out numbers like 200 million and they spoke to a Scholar or someone from China I am like so what ? Finally I don't know these people and I am not willing to sacrifice the well being of the Nation or my families life because some governor in some other State does something stupid and some guy or gal dies. You know the war is getting thin when-the enemy has to constantly raise the fear mongering Bar and then the kill shot is you don't care and you are a Covid-19 denier, and what did your parents teach you , from a guy who lived a mile down the road, attended the same schools and was indoctrinated by the same liberals I was. If I was a general I would ask my staff daily what the body count looked like ? I don't care about some so called expert sitting in a closed room 5,000 miles from the battleground , in fact I would drop his silly little *** right smack in the middle of the battlefield so I could get an-accurate count of the body bags, he would then get honest real fast and then we could assess the next move, real fast.
The same with Covid-19 many of these Governors are political hacks, and they have no idea what they are doing yet majestically determine which businesses are essential or non-essential, guess what, every one who is none-essential is part of the Bureaucracy. The delivery guy-gal-grocery clerk their life is worth no more than Uncle Billy's and if he/she gets C-19- Sorry thank you for your service and we are all in this together.
