Subject: Don't just vent about UAD 3.6

Jumped on a bandwagon once, with Pam, there were thousands on that, to fight the AMC's, turned out Cuomo's sister was involved in one and used his power to push the AMC model into what it has become today.
First time I've heard that Cuomo's sister was involved, so I looked it up and here's what AI came up with.....the HVCC though....my lord, that was the killer of the profession.....

No, Andrew Cuomo's sister was not involved in the decision to direct appraisals to Appraisal Management Companies (AMCs). That policy change occurred during Andrew Cuomo's tenure as New York Attorney General in the late 2000s, long before his sister Madeline Cuomo became a central figure in his political operations.

The shift toward AMCs is attributed to Andrew Cuomo himself, specifically through the implementation of the Home Valuation Code of Conduct (HVCC) while he was AG. Industry critics argue that this move, which he championed to eliminate conflicts of interest in mortgage lending, inadvertently empowered AMCs and harmed independent appraisers.

Stirring the pot generally gets good results, glad you peeked

It's a good letter. Too bad most of the appraiser are actually donating their time and money to ensure that this happens. Hopefully they'll all figure it out and I'll come waltzing in once it actually works and learn it in about 3 seconds.

Remember that well, the battle against the AMC bullies and also the petition. It was no surprise the self-described "professionals" in this forum and in the industry circled the wagons and viscously counter attacked anyone who opposed the status quo. One MAI clown was very mean to Pam and spread lies. 3.6 appears to be the latest attack on the independent appraisers led by the corrupt notables and cheered on by the simps.

I still have nightmares about HVCC...and Cuomo's face...yikes.. NOBODYYYY SHOULDDDDD NEEEEEED 10 BULLETTTS TO KILLLL A DEEERRRRR

I can remember wayyyy back in the 80's when the wagons began the circle around realtors, the buyouts had begun, slowly they crept into the night, buying this one, then that one. As they got bigger stomachs (money) they began to invade the appraisal industry. It's taken them billions (who else has the loot) to infiltrate both Professions, but with political help along the way they are at a point of no return.
What bogles one's mind is that they have been allowed to move in a direction to monopolize the Real Estate industry as a whole.

When i voted for the SRA to merge with the MAI, which then became the appraisal institute. What a mistake that turned out to be. Not once did the institute stand up for residential appraisers. That was the true ending of a real profession. The false prophet was let into the garden of appraising.
