I might make a suggestion to all appraisers that they pull a copy of there MARI File.

1. You might find the file lacking truthful information.

2. You might find only one side of what really happen stated.

3. You might find mis-information.

4. You might really be surprised what you find or donot find.

Contact phone number for them is 1-866-676-6274 Fax 1-866-620-9578 and emial is inforsevices@mari-inc.com

You are entiled to a free copy of your file. You do have to go through some paper work to get it. It took me five days to get a full copy of my file.

Good advise

Sent info the other day. I am waiting to hear back to see if they have my name or company on file.

After what I found out yesterday that the "Appraisal Board" did to me over at MARI-INC. No way would I ask them any thing. Matter of fact it just got another $20M added to the claim I have filed against the state appraisal board. From all appearances this state board is about as nasty as they can get in there dealings. Two case numbers at MARI-Inc. the first one showing all the details of the filling of the complaint and the reason why they filed, then give two lines that the Judge found no cause but not the reasons why he found no cause. Then a second file that again list all the reason of the complaint and I did not furnish the state a copy of the invoice when requesting the complete work file. (I don't feel the invoice is part of the work file and its not the states business in what I charge the client H e l l, both the lender and homeowner didn't pay the bill anyway, yet the home owner filed the compaint about the bill. Never mine the work that the lender requested and the extra number of trips out to the subject property. I guess it all is to be free in the name of service). That file shows that my license is still suspended.

My question also becomes how many state appraisals boards report to MARI-INC. Is it the duty of a state board to report in detail complaints to a non-goverment business and a business that does not notify the person or business that something has been filed against them?

What does your state do???? Do they report every filing against an appraiser

hummm

Ray,

very interesting state you live in. My question is does the board send EVERY diciplinary file to mari or just yours? They better be sending them all in or your attorney will have their guts for garters.

This little suit of yours could be very informative on not only your case but the whole Mari thing.

Will be having more then that. The Judge ordered to reinstate me with in 30 min. after the hearing. In one case it took them 90 days to change the records, here its been a year and MIRA still have me suspended on one of the files.

Every think what other appraisers files might contain. I never got any kind of notice from MARI about a file or that they were putting out informatiion that I was suspended. I have five days to file a rebutle with them and have it place in my file.

And what if it takes 6 days?? I would wait 10 days just for spite, then if they don't make some kind of correction....another defendant maybe?

Heres an idea

Lets start a database of loan officers and companies that have unethical lending practices, ie. asking appraisers to inflate the value, overlook items.

We then have the loan reps sign a disclosure, if they want the information we have collected on them, that the information was collected from non public and public sources and we are only a channel of information and that we are not held liable for what was reported by various state agencies and from appraisers first hand knowledge.

we can then offer it to the borrowers at a fee as they would be the ones to benefit from the information collected, and be able to make an educated decision about the people that they do business with. Maybe some how get it associated with Pam C and the Mortgage Fraud Watch List for cross reference

Just spitting it out

Ray I have an idea what you are dealing with.

I have acusations on my MARI report and they will NOT aloow me to post my response because it is lengthy and has attachments, and in my opinion it is because it would prove flaws within there subscriber reporting
