Hmm. Can you point me to where it states this is illegal? I just filed my taxes with my tax accountant as a Licensed Appraisal Trainee working as an Independent Contractor and no red flags were raised.That is illegal.

Interesting. Something I should let the owner of the company know then as I imagine the tax liability is on her? I wasn't given the option of working as anything other than an independent contractor.The IRS says you cannot work as an independent contractor when you are an appraiser trainee. It has been documented many times on this forum over the years.
