TAF paid over 500K to the Law Firm trying to destroy Shane Lanham

All I've seen, so far, is evidence that TAF paid the same law firm that is representing the plaintiffs in the suit against Shane Lanham. The post says..... "Legal Services". There has been no evidence offered regarding what legal services TAF was paying for, when the law firm was engaged for those services, whether TAF knew about the suit against Lanham at the time they chose that law firm, and no evidence that TAF is supporting the Lanham lawsuit. You got something more than an account statement showing a payment for legal services? Let's see it.

can't connect two dots...just like all the other AF shills...deny deny deny

Seems like it was what would be considered in a consulting capacity

  • Conducting a comprehensive review of the Ethics Rule, with advice from Relman Colfax, resulting in proposed changes that make it crystal clear that bias and discrimination against protected classes have always been prohibited by USPAP and that USPAP has always required appraisers to comply with all applicable fair housing laws,

In otherwords, TAF paid the leading DC law firm $500,000, that describes itself as:

Relman Colfax PLLC is a civil rights law firm that protects civil rights and exposes injustice. The firm has filed lawsuits against educational, public accommodation, and fair housing institutions for violating federal and state laws.

so.....TAF would be a 'client' and the firm couldn't sue TAF. Right out of a "Suites" episode. Follows the successful Mafia model.

Don't know about all of that. But who better to use as a consultant than a firm that specializes in that field. I said in a much earlier post. How to CYA. Hard to point fingers when you used the de facto "expert" in said area.

the engagement of relman by TAF makes it obvious that the ethics rule was unclear....an argument that should be made by the defendants in the court room

Even at it's simplest application, the game is chess, not checkers. Gotta stay a couple moves ahead.

If TAF didn't engage an expert in this type of lawfare then the results would have been criticized for that by the same critics who already think the Sales Comparison is inherently biased against minorities.

they can't have it both ways...either the ethics rule is clear or not...and since TAF could not do their job they hired an outside law firm with vested interest in suing appraisers to make sure the ethics rule is "crystal clear"

How dare you use logic. Blasphemer

lanham should sue TAF for failure to provided 'crystal clear' standards...pretty much a slam dunk now
