I would like to know about this side of the real estate industry. How does one become one, what do they do, and how much do they make?

Appraisers are of no help because number one Inspectors are local to ones area and what one makes in Arkansas is not what one makes in Oregon. Its also a new Field with not a lot of data collected yet. Realtors- NAR and others are more in tune right now as to whats going on. On here all you will get is angry appraisers who make up fake numbers. I would contact Oregon AMCs and other companies that engage their services,

If you have a pulse yoNope we u can become one.

Take a few photos of a house an measure using a 3-D scanner.

$25.00 to $40.00 per inspection.
Nope we have guys here making $100 to $125.00 I know because one wanted to become an appraiser and we told him to forget it there was no future . At 22 years old he is averaging three
a day 5 days a week- plus also doing Photography for Realtors at $150 a house and Arial drone photos for another $75 bucks. So it can be done but to make good money you need to learn to be a good photographer and to measure using good technology. I think it may be a good job for some people as all the wrinkles get ironed out.

Good one. :rof:

There are a few Facebook groups for them, BPO, Broker, Data collectors, etc. They complain about fee shops, AMCs and slow and no pay clients. Many of them are hoping to be appraisers some day. I’m in a few of them and mostly lurk, I want to know which banks use BPOs for REO properties instead of appraisals, there are occasional deals with those. When I do post I’m easy to spot, I’m the one recommending Bitcoin.

If a young guy/gal wants to be a employee the typical starting salary in California is $18.00 to $20.00 hourly. Performs field audits of single family residential property to verify assessment records by reviewing, measuring and making necessary data changes.

The FAST Act would give an appointed 10-member state council, or “Fast Food Council,” wide-ranging authority over fast food and fast casual restaurants in California with more than 100 locations nationwide. The council could raise the minimum wage to $22 per hour in 2023 and up to 3.5% annually after that

Fast food is mostly part time and many different shifts but not easy work as people like to like to imply . Taking photos- measuring with Cuba Casa is much easier, the only full time jobs in fast food is management . Inspectors can be full time or part time and is easy even for most older guys and gals. Its a good fit for many appraisers .
